PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The 10News Cereal for Summer drive is off to a great start, thanks to a men’s group from Palm Harbor United Methodist Church.

They’re called the Wing Men, because every Tuesday, they eat wings at Sonny’s BBQ. But we might have to start calling them the Cereal Men, because of what happened Tuesday.

Last week, members of the group challenged each other to donate to Cereal for Summer, and Tuesday they brought in cereal by the bag- and the box-full, some by the truckload. The group donated about 600 boxes to Cereal for Summer.

And that’s not the end of the good news. Sonny’s owner Eddie Titen then promised to match that total, drawing cheers all around.

You can help 10News feed hungry children by donating to Cereal for Summer. You can do that at any Sonny’s BBQ and at the 10News studios.
