Tampa Fire Rescue put out a house fire early Tuesday morning in Ybor City.

Firefighters responded to the home located at 911 East 12th Avenue just before 1 a.m. on September 6. The first unit on scene saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the single-story, wood frame home.

Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire from a defensive mode; unable to enter the home due to the intensity of the flames and instability of the structure. The fire was under control at 1:30 a.m. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

An investigator from the fire marshal's office was on scene to begin to determine the cause and the origin of the fire
