PASCO CO., Fla.— Five people were arrested on felony charges a month after a crash that killed a pedestrian in Pasco County on May 12, law enforcement announced Wednesday.

The five arrests led to 11 total felony charges for the crash that killed Christopher Ryan, according to FHP officials.

Troopers said multiple suspects tried to remove blood and other evidence from the vehicle before law enforcement arrived and death threats were made to witnesses during the investigation.

The alleged driver of the vehicle, Austen Payne, was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death, tampering with evidence, providing false information to law enforcement and tampering with a witness by threat/intimidation.

Patricia Flynn was charged with being an accessory after the fact, giving false information to law enforcement, and tampering with physical evidence, according to officials.

Lisa Payne and Guido Tritto were charged with tampering with witnesses, and Gabrielle Payne was charged with violation of probation and tampering with evidence, according to reports.
