TRINITY, Fla. – A Wesley Chapel man is accused of driving drunk in a head-on crash involving an SUV and two pickup trucks, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Investigators said Charles Daniel Morales, 25, drove a pickup truck east on Trinity Boulevard, crossed the center line and hit another pickup truck, which then flipped and collided with the SUV.

Morales is charged with driving under the influence in a crash involving an injury and DUI property damage.

First responders took three people, including Morales, to the hospital after the head-on crash happened around 8:18 a.m. Monday at Trinity Boulevard and Tamarind Boulevard, according to FHP.

One of the two other drivers involved in the crash was taken the hospital as a trauma alert, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.

FHP troopers arrested Morales shortly after.

Pasco County Fire Rescue said to expect delays in the area.

Firefighters cleaned up the chemicals spilled in the roadway. There is no danger to the public.
