WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Cypress Creek High School went under what the sheriff's office called a "controlled dismissal" Tuesday afternoon following an anonymous tip about a gun on campus, the agency said.

No weapon was found, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said in a follow-up tweet.

Nearby Cypress Creek Middle School underwent a "controlled campus" during the investigation but has since returned to normal.

The sheriff's office says the tip is under investigation.
