It is unknown whether alcohol played a factor in a deadly boating crash on Friday, as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission investigators amended its initial report.

RELATED STORY: 1 dead, 2 hurt in boating accident near Bayboro Marina

Investigators say a 21-foot center console being operated by 40-year-old Matthew Mann of St. Petersburg slammed into the back of a 23-foot center console boat around 9:30 P.M. Friday. Mann was injured, his passenger, 40-year-old Philip Stock was killed.

Stock had just celebrated his birthday the day before the crash.
