Man admits to sexual activity with two girls in Largo between ages 5 and 8, detectives say

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—Detectives charged a Middleburg man with two counts of capital sexual battery after two underage victims said he engaged in inappropriate activity with them in Largo.

Detectives said Levern Brown engaged in sexual activity with two female victims who were between the ages five and eight years-old at the time of the incidents.

Brown was in custody at Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Department of Corrections on a separate charge of lewd lascivious molestation with a victim under 12 when Pinellas County detectives charged him, according to deputies.

Detectives interviewed Brown at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Department of Corrections where they said he admitted to the allegations.

Brown had been a registered sex-offender since 2005, detectives said.
