SAFETY HARBOR, Fla.—A 54-year-old man was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after two crashes on his Harley Davidson early Saturday morning.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office officials said Robert Dobraski hit a parked car on his Harley on 3rd Street North and was not wearing a helmet.

Investigators said they found out officers from the Clearwater Police Department were looking for Dobraski because he crashed his motorcycle in Clearwater that morning.

Witnesses told investigators they saw Dobraski hit the median and crashed in Clearwater before getting back on his motorcycle and driving off toward Safety Harbor.

Deputies said speed and impairment appeared to be factors in the crash.
