ST. PETERSBURG, Fla — One person is dead after an early morning shooting on the city's south side.
Jermaine Cummings, 38, was found shot around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of 29th Street South and 17th Avenue South, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 727-893-7780.
