CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Clearwater Police Department asked the public for help finding an elderly couple missing from their assisted-living facility Thursday morning.

Both Eduardo and Maria DeJesus have dementia. They signed out around 8 p.m. from the Brookdale at Beckett Lake facility and said they'd be back in an hour but never returned.

The couple has since been found safe in the Naples area by deputies with the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Eduardo, 82, was wearing a white and green shirt with jeans. He also usually wears a gray Navy veteran hat.

Family members are reportedly on the way to pick the couple up.

Maria, 77, was wearing a black and white striped shirt with black pants. She also usually wears a white hat and carries a large walking stick.

It's believed they might be in a Nissan Sentra and could be trying to get to the Weeki Wachee area.

People are asked to call 727-562-4242 if they're seen.
