Officers spotted the reported stolen Toyota Corolla rental just before 2 a.m. and when they tried to make a stop, Webb drove off, they say. Stop sticks were used to halt the car in the area of 2200 15th Ave. South, where he was arrested.

Webb was wanted all week for stealing a car with a baby inside Monday at the Gateway on 4th Apartments.

He's charged with child abuse, occupied vehicle burglary and auto theft. Webb also is charged with auto theft, fleeing and eluding and no valid driver's license from the early morning arrest.
