ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A manatee mom and her calf had the right of way when Mark Feels spotted the duo heading through a small canal from his canoe.
Feels, the owner of See Through Adventures, was canoeing Tuesday with the owner of See Through Canoe near Fort De Soto. He said the two manatees were heading right for them so they had to move their clear canoes off to the side make way.
“It was a mom and her calf just cruising around ignoring us,” Feels said. “We see them all the time. I just saw one 20 minutes ago.”
