Police identify two 'Toy Run' motorcyclists killed in crash on I-95 in Augusta

A section of I-95 North has been shut down in Augusta due to crash involving a truck and several motorcycles Sunday afternoon, according to Maine State Police.

UPDATE: State Police have identified 58-year-old Jamie Gross from Belmont and 25-year-old Aaron White-Sevigny from Windsor as the two motorcyclists killed in the crash. The two were reportedly riding separate motorcycles. The other motorcyclists as well as the driver and passenger in the pick-up truck suffered minor injuries.

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) – Two motorcyclists participating in the United Bikers of MaineToy Run were killed when they collided with a pick-up truck on I-95 in Augusta Sunday afternoon, according to State Police.

Four motorcycles bound for the Augusta Civic Center were involved in the crash near exit 112, shutting down a section of I-95 North for several hours.

Four other people were injured and transported to a nearby hospital.

State Police Spokesman, Steve McCausland said State and August Police have diverted northbound traffic before reopening the highway around 4:30 p.m.

The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been released.
