FROSTPROOF, Fla. -- A semi-truck hauling fertilizer overturned on U.S. Highway 98 in Polk County, forcing its closure.
The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. Monday between Pool Branch and Parrish roads, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies say there are about 30-40 yards of roadway covered in fertilizer.
The driver was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
It is not yet known when the highway will reopen to traffic.
