Uber Eats launches in Lakeland with more than 25 participating restaurants

More than 25 restaurants in the greater Lakeland area are participating.

LAKELAND, Fla. -- People in Lakeland can finally order food from their phones using the Uber Eats app starting today.

Uber Eats, an offset of the car-sharing company Uber, launched in the greater Lakeland area and gives customers access to more than 25 area restaurants.

Some of the options include local favorites Duke's Brewhouse, Main Squeeze Smoothies, Wraps & Salads, The Rib House and Taco Bus. Chain restaurant options include Burger 21, Firehouse Subs and Tijuana Flats.

The full list of participating restaurants can be found on the Uber Eats website or through the app in Lakeland.

Uber Eats is already available in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Sarasota and other areas around Florida. The on-demand food delivery service is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week with a $4.99 delivery fee for orders.
