Riverview golf-cart driving porch pirates caught

The suspects were seen in a golf cart.

Update on Thursday, Dec. 21: RIVERVIEW, Fla. - Detectives have identified two girls as suspects seen in a golf cart taking packages from the front porch of a residence.

The 13-year-old and 14-year-old girl are charged with petit theft. Both are entered into the juvenile arrest avoidance program based on no prior criminal history, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Original Story on Wednesday, Dec. 20: Porch pirates have struck again, and this time they were using a golf cart.

About 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, two women in a dark blue golf cart with a white roof drove through the Estuary Subdivision in the 11600 block Palmetto Pine Street in Riverview.

The passenger got out of the car and took a Fed Ex package containing an Apple TV streaming router worth $150 and two USPS packages with a T-shirt worth $9.88 and hand balm worth $12.77.

The driver was an older white female with long dark hair and medium skin tone. She was wearing an unknown colored T-shirt.

The passenger was a younger white female with long brown hair, tied in a ponytail. She had pale skin. She was wearing a black t-shirt, blue pants, and white shoes.
