UPDATE: One bicyclist has died Tuesday following the crash, according to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital's communication director. One bicyclist remains in the hospital in stable condition and two others have been released.

VENICE, Fla. -- Four bicyclists were in critical condition after being hit by a car Tuesday morning in Sarasota County.
The crash happened near the intersection of Center Road and Rockley Boulevard in Venice.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclists were riding in the right eastbound bicycle lane of Center Road when they changed lanes into the left lane in front of an approaching car.
That car hit all four bicyclists. Three of the bicyclists were airlifted to the hospital and another was taken by ground.
All four bicyclists are in critical condition.
