Update on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018: Sarasota County sheriff's deputies found a missing woman safe early Monday morning.

The sheriff's office said it found Lindsey Lee Nichols safe and thanked the public for its assistance.

Original Story on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018: ENGLEWOOD, Fla. -- Deputies ask for the public's help in finding in a missing woman who might have been picked up by a driver.

Lindsey Lee Nichols, 30, last was seen around 7:30 p.m. Friday at a home off Crestwood Road, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

County deputies say Nichols is confined to a wheelchair and suffers from a traumatic brain injury. It's possible she was picked up by an unknown male driver, they add.

Nichols is 5 foot, 5 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, the news release states. She has black hair with brown eyes and multiple tattoos.

Anyone who might have seen her is asked to call the sheriff's office at 941-861-4260 or the Criminal Investigations Section at 941-861-4900. People also can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 941-366-TIPS (8477).
