TAMPA, Fla. — We all know Florida is hot, but the Sunshine State just made a different kind of "hotlist." Newly released data puts four Florida cities on an 'Infidelity Hotlist.'
Both Tampa and St. Petersburg, in particular, ranked among the top 15 most unfaithful cities in the United States.
The data for the 'hotlist' comes from the website known as Ashley Madison, which prides itself as being the "world's leading married dating website."
The website says it compiled its data from each city's summer 2018 signups to determine the "most unfaithful."
Where does Florida rank overall in the infidelity rankings?
Ashley Madison ranks Florida and Floridians to be the "big winners" in the annual infidelity rankings. Basically, Florida is ranked the 'most unfaithful' state.
Where do the Florida cities specifically rank in the top 20?
Not only does Florida have the most amount of cities in the top 20 (and the most in the top 15 alone), one Florida city ranks as the biggest "winner": Orlando.
"Orlando, home to the Magic Kingdom, now gives a whole new meaning to the 'Most Magical Place on Earth' after taking the number one spot on the list from last year's winner, Seattle," the website announced in a press release.
The other Florida cities that were ranked?
Tampa, Hialeah and St. Petersburg also "find themselves on the list telling us the Sunshine State is primed for some sizzlin' summer lovin,'" according to the website.
Tampa isn't too far off, however, and ranks number nine. St. Pete ranks as number 14, and Hialeah ranks as number 11.
Other cities that made the list are "known for their party scenes," according to the site, like Atlanta and Las Vegas.
The site says the list also proves, however, that infidelity can be found everywhere.
“While most would assume that bigger cities probably produce more cheaters per capita, this data shows us what we were already aware of; cheaters are everywhere,” said Isabella Mise, Director of Communications for Ashley Madison.
