Editor's Note: Prosecutors declined to pursue charges against a former charter school substitute teacher, who tells 10News he was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. Mr. Foreman has been free since January 2018. He says he has been harassed and shamed for something he did not do. He will face no court proceedings in connection with the allegations that were previously lodged against him. Because he will not be prosecuted, 10News has removed his mug shot from this article and updated the story to reflect the latest information. The updated story can be seen below.

TAMPA -- A former Hillsborough County charter school substitute teacher will not be prosecuted after he says he was falsely accused of the lewd or lascivious molestation of a student.

George Washington Foreman Jr. previously worked at Woodmont Chater School. He was arrested in 2017 and booked at the Orient Road Jail.

Since then, prosecutors have declined to pursue his case, and Mr. Foreman says he is innocent of the accusations.

Woodmont Charter School previously released a statement saying the safety and security of its students were its "highest priority."
