An Amber Alert was issued for an Illinois toddler, but local law enforcement later said it was a hoax.

Officials had said a 13-month-old Farmington boy was with three men in a stolen car.

WMBD reported, however, that Sheriff Brian Asbell said police had confirmed the story was a hoax and there was no child in danger. A suspect has been arrested.

One of the alleged suspects was identified by name, and the Peoria County Sheriff's Office said he had posted a social media video protesting his innocence.
