Pasco Co. woman walks into courthouse for jury duty, leaves in handcuffs

She ended up with a court date for her own trial.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Kristine Victoria Mittler walked into the West Pasco Judicial Center to see if she would be selected as a juror.

She was given a court date - for her own trial.

After setting off an alarm during a security screening at the entrance on Monday, Mittler, 39, of Adams Street, was found with two foil packets in her pants pocket, both with cocaine in them, and a straw that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

"Post Miranda, Mittler admitted the drugs belong to her and she forgot they were in her pants pocket," an arrest report said.

Mittler was taken to the Land O' Lakes Jail, where she remained Tuesday on a $6,000 bond. She faces charges of possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
