Don't think your vote matters?
Tell that to your friends who voted in the Florida governor's race.
In Monroe County, the vote was 18,021 for Republican Rick Scott to 18,020 for Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson.
Scott defeated Nelson by exactly one vote in Monroe County.
In the scheme of things, Monroe County won't affect the outcome of the race as a whole.
The statewide election was still too close to call, as of midnight. The final result will be posted here.
But, in the meantime, that one county reminds us that every single vote matters.
