No, Florida Gov. Rick Scott won't certify the results of his own U.S. Senate race, despite critics' concerns he might.

Lauren Schenone, his campaign press secretary, confirmed to 10News that Scott would not participate in the Elections Canvassing Commission.

An attorney representing Scott has told a judge of his plans, the campaign said.

Scott has been in this position before. Back in 2014, he also recused himself in his gubernatorial race.

Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had previously called for Scott to recuse himself from the current recount.
