White House Chief of Staff John Kelly arrives for a ceremony honoring former U.S. President George H. W. Bush on Dec. 3, 2018, inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C.

The departure of White House chief of staff John Kelly is expected to be announced as soon as Friday, several sources tell CBS News’ Chief White House correspondent Major Garrett.

The move could be announced at a scheduled White House dinner Friday night with President Donald Trump and senior White House staff.
