Red tide remains an irritant to Tampa Bay area coastal areas.

High concentrations were noted in Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission midweek update.

Fish kills were reported in multiple locations in Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota counties. The same three counties reported respiratory irritation.

Red tide was also seen in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Gulf counties in northwest Florida and in Brevard and Broward counties on the east coast.
