WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. — Grab your fin and seashell bikini top -- Weeki Wachee Springs is again holding auditions for its world-famous mermaids.

Those interested in a job under the sea can audition at 5 p.m. Friday. The park said auditions include an endurance swim test first. Those who pass that will move on to the underwater audition.

The park said the audition process can take 1-2 hours. Those interested are asked to bring a swimsuit and a towel.

Candidates must also be at least 18 years old and submit a resume, headshot and a state employment application to wwmermaids1947@gmail.com.

Walk-ups will not be accepted.

The mermaids have been doing elegant underwater shows for the past six decades. They even eat and drink underwater.

These sea sirens perform three times a day, every day of the year, and even do their own version of The Little Mermaid.
