TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Titusville continues to attract tourists as the interest in getting to see the space rockets and space coast in person only grows.
The renderings for a hotel set to be built around six-and-a-half miles from the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station were released Thursday.
The five-floor, 152-room hotel will also include an additional way to view the rocket launches: a rooftop deck with a bar for an "elevated evening experience."
We know the child and space nerd inside of all is probably screaming.
Delaware North announced the renderings and says the Courtyard by Marriott will be the closest hotel to the launch complexes.
The Courtyard will include a Bistro with a full breakfast and will even allow customers to get their Starbucks fix.
“Delaware North is proud to partner with Marriott to provide Space Coast visitors a level of convenience and comfort that will allow them to prolong their stay at the visitor complex and experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a front-row seat to a rocket launch,” Scott Socha, president of Delaware North's park and resorts division said.
The hotel is expected to break ground this summer, and the opening is planned for fall 2020. The project is expected to bring in 50 construction jobs along with 35 permanent part and full-time jobs.
It will be built on Vectorspace Boulevard off of State Road 405 on the Indian River. It will be near the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum and will be located about 40 miles from the Orlando International Airport.
