An elderly Polk County man with dementia, who had been considered missing and endangered, was found safe in St. Petersburg late Thursday morning.
A Silver Alert had been issued earlier for Claud Howard Letanosky, 84, who went missing from his home on Arrowwood Drive in Lakeland.
When his wife woke up at 1:30 a.m., he was gone, and so was their vehicle, according to deputies.
Letanosky was taken to the hospital but appears to be find, according to Polk County Sheriff's deputies.
The Silver Alert has been canceled.
