TAMPA, Fla. — Millennials prefer not to be put in a box or labeled. Instead, editors and data scientists decided to create a list of best places for millennials to live.

After looking at more than 1,000 cities, Livability editors ranked the top 100 best places to live in America. The data measured points like economics, housing, amenities, demographics, health care, education, and infrastructure.

After asking 1,000 millennials across the U.S. in a survey, it was determined that affordability was the most important matter when deciding where to live. Livability used a median home value cap of $250,000 to factor this into their rankings.

"These 100 cities are unique, welcoming, affordable and bursting with opportunities," Livability stated on their website.

So where does Tampa rank?

Number 12. (Not too shabby if you ask me).

Let's be real - it's pretty hot, hot, hot here, and we're not just talking about the weather.

The website credits Tampa's "killer beer scene" along with the city's "superior Cubano sandwiches" and "glittering bay views." (I mean, they do have a point).

Tampa was considered a 'city-on-the-rise' in the rankings with its low unemployment rate and has been considered a 'popular relocation destination' from both inside and outside of the state.

It also ranked high for its wide array of affordable cultural activities, including museums and recreational outdoor activities. Along with its wide array of cultural activities, the city was noted for its "thriving LGBTQ scene" and Pride events.

“I would be hard pressed to imagine that you would find a city in America that is any more inclusive than we are — and proud of it," Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn told Livability.

Some of the local obsessions ranked? The Tampa Bay Lightning and good beer (I think we can cheers to both of those).
