Tampa Bay, FL -- The most common traffic issues I hear about from Tampa Bay drivers are congestion, potholes, and poor signal timing. Lately, I have received a lot of reports of potholes.
In Sarasota, there was a deep one reported on Tamiami Trail at University Parkway. I made sure public works took action.
"Thanks for your efforts regarding the pothole at University and (U.S.) 41. It has been filled and no longer a problem!" wrote John Denver, 10News viewer, in an email to me.
Also, I am working on a traffic signal timing issue in Tampa on Kennedy Boulevard at West Shore Boulevard.
"The light at Kennedy and West Shore has terrible timing. It may be a result of the mall, but when the light turns green on West Shore, the intersection has not cleared and you have gridlock," wrote Cathy Drier, 10News viewer, in an email to me.
I have reported this issue to the city. A crew will study the signals to see what adjustments can be made for better traffic flow.
