ST. LUCIE, Fla. — One Florida man didn’t get too far after bonding out of jail before he was sent right back behind bars.
St. Lucie County deputies said Michael Casey Lewis, 37, burglarized cars in the jail parking lot right after he bonded out Thursday.
After deputies said they saw Lewis pulling on door handles in the parking lot before he was arrested and rebooked into jail.
He was released again, and so far, deputies have not reported another arrest.
