ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Tampa Bay Rays fans and players were not happy that Blake Snell wasn't named to the 2018 MLB All-Star team.
Now they're happy.
The 25-year-old pitcher was named to his first All-Star team on Thursday, replacing Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber, who will miss the game following an injection in his right knee.
Snell, in his second MLB season, has a 12-5 record this season with a 2.27 ERA. He was drafted in the first round by the Rays in 2011.
