Tiger Woods tweeted Friday morning of his plans to play the Valspar Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational during the next two weeks.

"After a good recovery week I'm committing to play in the @ValsparChamp and @APinv next two weeks," Woods tweeted.

Woods, 42, has never played at the Valspar Championship. Jordan Spieth is also expected to join the field. Valspar organizers are expected to announce the full field around 5 p.m. Friday.

"Obviously, we have never had a field as strong as we now have," said tournament director Tracy West. "We expect tremendous demand for tickets and parking and have put plans in place to deal with it."

Woods has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational eight times.

The Valspar Championship is set for March 8-11 at the Innisbrook-Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is set for March 12-18 at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando.
