Tampa, FL-- The Jesuit Tigers are one of three Tampa teams still alive in the high school football playoffs. They will host Orlando Bishop Moore at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Corral Memorial Stadium.
This is a state semifinal matchup. The winner advances to the 5A state championship game next weekend..
Bishop Moore is the team that knocked out Jesuit in last year's playoffs.
Third-year head coach Matt Thompson has the Tigers at 13-0, for the first time in school history.
"All the pieces were in place when I got here," Thompson told 10Sports WTSP. "It was just having the kids believe in themselves, and believe they can accomplish winning games and winning every game, and taking one game at a time."
In other teams involving local teams, Armwood hosts Cantonment Tate in the 6A semifinal. While Cambridge Christian School plays Jacksonville University Christian in the 2A state championship game, in Orlando.
