Two Tampa Bay Rays are headed to Cleveland next week to compete in the 2019 MLB All Star Game.
Pitcher Charlie Morton and outfielder Austin Meadows got selected for the July 9 game at Progessive Field. It marks the second time Morton has made an All Star team and Meadows’ first time.
Since Morton is scheduled to start Sunday, he likely won’t be on the American League’s active roster. He has an 8-2 record with a 2.43 ERA in 17 starts.
Meadows is hitting .291 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs.
