Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy warms up during a game against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 10, 2018, at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy is nearing a return to regular season action nearly four weeks after fracturing his foot.

On Tuesday, the team reassigned goalie Eddie Pasquale to Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

NHL rules mandate teams must have two goaltenders on the active 23-man roster.

Lightning goalie Louis Domingue has gone 14-4 in Vasilevskiy’s absence.

Vasilevskiy has participated in two morning skates since fracturing his left foot. He hasn’t played in a game since Nov. 10.

Pasquale appeared in one game for the Lightning this season, a 6-5 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 4.
