Temple's Matt Rhule accepted the Baylor job on Tuesday, which means Oregon's attention may now turn to USF's Willie Taggart.
The Bulls head coach is the odds-on favorite to replace Mark Helfrich at Oregon, per BookMaker.eu. Helfrich was fired last week following a 4-8 season.
Taggart's odds are +250 to take over in Eugene, the best of any candidate. Former Bucs head coach Greg Schiano has the third-best odds, at +750.
Taggart guided USF to a school-record 10 wins in 2016. He signed a five-year extension last December.
Odds to become Oregon's next head coach (BookMaker.eu):
Willie Taggart +250
Bryan Harsin +350
Greg Schiano +750
Lane Kiffin +1500
Dan Mullen +2000
Chip Kelly +2200
