If you're in the tech field, Florida is the place to be.
A Business.org study named Palm Bay as the U.S. city with the highest average salary for tech workers in the country, and it's not even close.
The average tech salary in Palm Bay for 2017 was about $159,380. Syracuse, New York, came in second at $117,000. The average salary overall in Florida is about $50,860, according to business.org.
Palm Bay and its surrounding areas have several companies like Lockheed Martin, IBM and the Harris Corp.

4. Jacksonville: $81,000
5. Lakeland: $80,800
6. North Port: $80,500
7. Miami: $78,000
