TAMPA, Fla. — Busch Gardens Tampa Bay closed early Tuesday due to storms.
The theme park announced on social media that "inclement weather" was temporarily forcing it to shut down.
This morning, scattered showers moved into parts of the Nature Coast ahead of an approaching low-pressure system that meteorologists said would bring rain to the Tampa Bay region. The rain is expected to clear through early Wednesday morning, but a few lingering showers will still be possible through sunrise.
The Tampa Bay area's next chance for showers arrives Friday ahead of a cold front expected to bring even cooler air for Gasparilla weekend.
