A cold front worked through the region this morning bringing showers and a few storms for most of us. As the cold front swept through the winds shifted to the northwest which has opened the gates for the cold air to begin to move in.

Temperatures this morning will hover in the upper 60s to low 70s, but through the afternoon the cold air will cause temperatures to gradually drop. By 3 p.m., temperatures will likely be in the mid-upper 60s and continue to cool from there.

The cool air will ride in on a bit of a breeze today as well. Wind speeds will be from 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20-25 mph.

BEACH AND BOATING: Small crafts should exercise caution when out on the water today. Winds will be out of the northwest from 15-20 knots with 4-6 foot waves. There will be choppy conditions on the bay and inland waters. Swimmers should also be cautious for rip currents due to the rough surf.

The cooling trend will continue tonight as temperatures gradually cool into the upper 40s by early Thursday morning.

Our Friday will be sunny, but cool. High temperatures will be around 67°. Temps will moderate this weekend and warm back into the low-middle 70s for highs with lows in the upper 40s to middle 50s.

Have a great Thursday!
