10 Weather: Sun-filled weather moves in after a wet morning.

Lingering showers early this morning dry out, allowing for a bright but cooler afternoon

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The tail end of the front that brought another good soak to our Thursday morning is finally clearing the area allowing for dry air to rush in. This will lead to fantastic weather for opening day at Tropicana Field for the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Rays return to the diamond with first pitch slated for 4:10 p.m. as they face divisional rival Toronto Blue Jays.

Today: Showers and storms dry out allowing for abundant sunshine this afternoon. Temperatures will warm towards the mid 70s with dropping humidity. Your evening commute will be nice and dry.

Friday: Continued sunshine is in store for Good Friday. Following a cool morning, afternoon highs will range from the mid to upper 70s with comfortable humidity and breezy winds.

This Weekend: Our beautiful stretch of weather continues into the holiday weekend with plentiful sunshine, low humidity and pleasantly warm afternoons. High temperatures on Eastern return to the lower 80s.
