ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A ridge of high pressure that controlled our weather over the weekend will remain in place for the start of the week. This will give Tampa Bay plenty of sunshine through the morning with only a small chance for a few isolated afternoon showers or storms.

The chance of rain will increase slightly for Tuesday afternoon, but remain relatively seasonable and scattered.

Temperatures for the next couple of days, however, will be a little warmer than normal with high temperatures in the middle 90s.

The second half of the week will have highs in the low 90s with a continued 40% chance for scattered afternoon and early evening showers and storms.

Have a great week!
