MEMPHIS, Tenn —
What you need to know
- Hot weather continues with highs over 100 likely Saturday
- Spotty storms possible on Sunday, but don't expect all-day rain
- Not as hot to start next week with highs near 90
The lack of humidity made Friday feel a little bit more bare able. Saturday will be much hotter and we will be over 100 once again. Rain is returning this Sunday which will push us back to the 80s on Sunday. There is a Code Orange in effect until sunset tonight and a second one has already been issued for tomorrow. Air quality around the South is varying. Tomorrow will be another day where we might break a record. Highs will be near 101°. If that happens, we would break a record that was set in 2012. Looking at temperatures all across the Mid-south, highs will be in the upper 90s to our whopping 101°. The humidity won't be playing a huge part in the feels like temperatures. But, it will still feel very hot outside.

Temperatures could already be in the 90s Saturday morning. Cloud cover will increase overnight and into Sunday morning. There will be isolated showers especially after 2 Sunday afternoon. The good news is that there is not a severe weather outlook for the area.

The rain is associated with a cold front and will bring us cooler weather for our Monday and Tuesday.

In times of hot weather, remember to look before you lock! These temperatures can be deadly in minutes for children or pets inside of a hot car.

Remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade. Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
