10 Weather: Staying warm and very muggy tonight

We'll kick off Friday morning with a few coastal showers and storms before rain heads east into our interior counties.

TAMPA, Fla. — Thanks to our onshore flow and plenty of tropical moisture overhead, skies stay mostly to partly cloudy with a few isolated showers possible tonight. We'll once again see the chance for a few showers and storms Friday morning around the coast before pushing into central Florida. As the focus for the showers and storms moves inland, a lot of the activity will begin to dissipate.

In addition to the scattered rain, the humidity will remain high. Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s/low90s.

Rain chances dwindle a bit heading into the weekend. Morning and afternoon showers are still likely, but expect less coverage overall. Temperatures will easily warm into the low 90s each afternoon.
