10 Weather: A few early isolated storms tonight

Rain and storm chances increase late next week.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Look for mostly cloudy skies with just a few isolated showers and thunderstorms possible, mainly in inland areas. Otherwise, it will be warm and muggy with an overnight low only near 80 degrees.

Sunday will see more widely scattered rain and storm chances, mainly in the afternoon. However, again, most areas will likely stay dry with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 90s and heat index values that rise over 100 degrees.

Daily scattered storm chances continue early next week with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-90s. Storm chances become likely Thursday and Friday.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with scattered showers and storms likely. High: 91. Chance of rain: 50%. Wind: WNW 5-15 mph.
