10 Weather: A repeating pattern the next few days

More of the same this week with morning sun and scattered late-day thunderstorms.

TAMPA, Fla. — Today's weather pattern will be a carbon-copy of yesterday's weather with a mild start, then afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

This time of the year we expect daily shower and thunderstorm activity here in the state of Florida and that's exactly what we are going to get. Warm tropical moisture envelops the state as the flow continues out of the southeast. Moisture plus the heating of the day equals instability and those ore the perfect ingredients for thunderstorm activity.

Our rain chances in the Tampa Bay area hover from 40% to 60% for the next 7 days. We'll also see daytime high temps bump up a degree or two as well.

Some drier air aloft will try to work into the area late in the week which will lower rain chances by the weekend.

Today: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High: 93. Chance of rain: 60%.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High: 94. Chance of rain: 70%.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High: 93. Chance of rain: 60%.

Friday: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High: 94. Chance of rain: 40%.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High: 93. Chance of rain: 40%.
