We'll continue to see more rain across the area in the coming days. This isn’t to say that it’ll rain all day, but there will definitely be more rain to go around with a mix of sunshine and cloud cover in between.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to develop along the coast early this morning. Showers will remain located along the coast through the first half of the day before more showers and storms develop and track inland through the second half of the day.
Otherwise, we’ll have partly sunny and humid conditions with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Showers will gradually dissipate into tonight, but a few isolated showers will be possible into early Saturday morning. Low temperatures tonight will be in the mid-upper 70s. The pattern will remain the same through the weekend with the chance for coastal morning showers and scattered afternoon showers and storms.
This pattern with abundant moisture locked over Tampa Bay will remain in place into early next week. The main driver for the development of showers and storms will be the afternoon heat and resulting sea breeze boundaries drifting inland through the afternoon and then returning to the coast for the morning hours.
