Another near-perfect day Wednesday

Hurricane Ian could bring rain by the end of the week.

Wednesday: A few high clouds stream in. High: 75°.
Thursday: Partly sunny skies. Breezy. High: 74°.
Friday: Rain moves in from east to west later.  High of 71.

We're in for a chilly start on Wednesday!

Plenty of sunshine remains in the forecast, but a few clouds will start to build in, especially by the afternoon.

It will feel similar to Tuesday in the afternoon as highs climb to the mid 70s.  A few degrees below average but nice and fall-like.  Beautiful!

Temperatures continue to drop through the week.  By Friday and Saturday, highs will struggle to reach 70.  Cloud cover will be building in Thursday and Friday ahead of Hurricane Ian.

Our weather for the end of the week and the weekend depends almost entirely on the track of Hurricane Ian.

Ian is moving through the Gulf of Mexico, forecast to intensify to a category 4 hurricane.  It will make landfall along SW Florida coast Wednesday in the Fort Myers area.

The official forecast from the National Hurricane Center turns Ian east across the state after landfall.  This most recent track keeps the center of circulation east of Atlanta, which means that while we will could still see wind and rain, it will not be as intense as east of Ian.

If Ian stays to our east, drier.  If Ian tracks further wet, much wetter.  Stay tuned.
