ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Nine Chihuahuas were found in smashed in a cage tied together with rope in an alleyway on Monday night.
Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue received the nine dogs after someone called the St. Petersburg Police Department.
The organization said in a Facebook post the dogs were left without food and water. The cage also has rusted wire.
The dogs were covered in feces and fleas, according to the organization.
The organization is accepting donations for the Chihuahuas' veterinary costs.
