LAKE PLACID, Fla. — A Silver Alert remains in effect for a woman with Alzheimer's who disappeared last week.
Marilyn Prevatt, 79, last was seen Thursday in the area of U.S. Highway 27 and Sebring Parkway, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
She was wearing a pink shirt with blue jeans.
It's believed Prevatt is wearing glasses and traveling with a small dog in a 2009 green Toyota Camry with Indiana tag 650CEM. Authorities say she might be heading to Indiana or New York.
Anyone with information about Prevatt's whereabouts is asked to call the Highlands County Sheriff's Office at 863-402-7235 or 911.
