The 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, but several winners were announced before the show. Rhett Akins won Songwriter of the Year and Brothers Osborne's "It Ain't My Fault" won Video of the Year. In late March, Lauren Alaina was named New Female Vocalist of the Year, Brett Young the New Male Vocalist of the Year, and the trio Midland the New Vocal Group of the Year.
