The Jussie Smollett case has become a touchy subject on both ends of America's political spectrum. On one hand, you have what police say is a staged hate crime to smear supporters of President Trump. On the other hand, you have the black and gay communities, many of whom already feel unsafe, feeling like this may create a broader political divide.
